Do you think Cheney really believes his lies, or is he insane? |
|
Or does his mechanical heart and robotic soul assure him at night? <"I am a long way at this stage from concluding that somehow there was some fundamental flaw in our intelligence," Cheney said in an interview with USA TODAY and the Los Angeles Times.> <Cheney suggested that biological weapons are hard to find because they could be produced on short notice. "The stuff is perishable and doesn't last very long anyway," he said. But, he added, intelligence is "never perfect. It's rarely 100% complete."> http://usatoday.printthis.clickability.com/pt/cpt?action=cpt&title=USATODAY.com+-+Cheney+says+it%27s+too+soon+to+tell+on+Iraqi+arms&expire=&urlID=8972884&fb=Y&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.usatoday.com%2Fnews%2Fwashington%2Fexecutive%2Fpresident%2F2004-01-19-cheney-weapons_x.htm&partnerID=1660

8. It's pathological self-interest & self-importance |
|
and the resulting ubiquitious rationalizations for his sales pitch. ie "the lowly citizenry at large doesn't deserve the truth (or their lives) more than I deserve the profits"

pathological began with listening to Dr. Helen Caldicott. ;) She makes no bones about it. It's somewhat of an advantage to know exactly what we're dealing with. :)

10. I always thought those evil... |
|
cartoon villains were so over-the-top. You know, they're always depicted with these caustic sneers on their twisted, ugly faces. They have evil, humorless laughs and they tend to spend all their time in some underground lair planning how to rule the world, destroy it, or by manipulating some stupid puppet leader for their benefit. The usual plot line is that they are using some corporation as a front so they can make a profit for themselves by setting up a destraction while they rape the earth or loot the world banks. Hmmmm.

Hard to find? They had thousands of liters of some weapons, tons of other weapons, etc., according to last year's speech Uranium from Africa wasn't the only bald-faced lie...

15. As Paul Waldman said in hos book called, Fraud.... |
|
Bush and Cheney can lie and lie all they want because they know the media (and Dems) are just simply not going to hold them accountable for anything. So why would they stop lying?
