Bush's inadvertent SOTU truth
From the beginning of last night's travesty, His Imperial Highness strikes a certain, familiar tone.

"Twenty-eight months have passed since September 11th, 2001 -- over two years without an attack on American soil. And it is tempting to believe that the danger is behind us. That hope is understandable, comforting -- and false. The killing has continued..."

And so continues the fearmongering. He keeps up the scare tactics that have let his PNAC handlers run roughshod over our safety, freedom, and livelihood.

But then, in a rare burst of honesty, Glorious Leader lets loose with:

"...the enemies of freedom will do all in their power to spread violence and fear. They are trying to shake the will of our country and our friends, but the United States of America will never be intimidated by thugs and assassins."

Hey! He just predicted his November defeat! Cool!

3. 2 attacks by foreigners on the USA itself, in 230, hardly makes a SPATE
or RASH of terrorism.

4. I guess they don't consider the Washington DC Snipers to be terrorists.
I expect there were more than a few who were a bit terrified.
