Protestors in Ohio, shrub goes to local college with PNAC banner
GO OHIO !!!!!!

Protesters, many chanting "No more Bush," braved a cold morning outside the college ahead of the president's address.

A woman wearing a Howard Dean campaign button and holding a sign that read "No more NAFTAs" criticized Bush for lifting steel tariffs.

"President Bush talked about what's good for America," she said. "What's good for America is having American-made products in America."

Protesters come out Wednesday for Bush's visit near Toledo, Ohio.

2. He was visiting the college
about three miles away from my mom's house. What is up with his coat? It looks like it doesn't fit him. And the caption is wrong. According to a Toledo Blade report, the visit was invitation only and only 300 people were invited. Another hand-picked audience. What a miserable fuck. 5. and once again, protesters are separated into fenced cages....
Edited on Wed Jan-21-04 01:34 PM by amen1234

the taxpayers, who pay for this publicly-funded community college, are banned from the school grounds....again, treated as if they were criminals, rather than Veterans and Taxpayers....

-snips-

The Secret Service will coordinate security for the event with more than 10 local law enforcement agencies, including the Ohio Highway Patrol, the sheriff’s departments in Wood and Lucas counties, and numerous area police departments.

Mr. Fitzgerald said some roadways will be closed temporarily for the President’s motorcade to and from Toledo Express Airport, but the closings will be brief.

An area outside Owens will be set up for the public to stand in, both those in favor of Mr. Bush and those opposed. He did not know yesterday exactly where it would be.

"There will be an area where we will let anyone view from a safe distance," he said

That's no short trip from the airport to Owens. I'm sure they created a traffic nightmare, either on the pike or OH-2.

9. "There will be an area where we will let anyone view from a safe distance,
Translates to: from a distance that * can't hear them from.
