Mad Cows and Republican Deregulation policy
I've done quite a bit of searching, but I haven't (not surprisingly) come up with hard facts. Everyone knows that the USDA has been castrated by the beef industry, but I'd like some $$$ figures on which administrations, since Kennedy, have defunded the agency the most, resulting in reduction of inspectors, etc. It's pretty much an honor :D system now. I live in central WA state and am preparing some scathing anti-Rethug letters to the ed.
