Last Years SOTU and the Steroid Reference

This reference to steroids this year sort of tickles something in my memory about last years SOTU. Didn't he also have some sort of ridiculous non-sequitor in that speech too that had everyone rubbing their heads and saysing, "whuh?"...I don't remember what it was though...Anyone?

It was just as big a non sequitor, but Bush insists to Karl that he be allow to talk about at least one thing that is on his mind during each SOTU. That's it, that is what is on George's mind... Steroid use among professional athletes. That is the most important thing he had to say to the American people, from the depth of his heart, last night.

....his statements in regards to givin' federal tax monies to CHURCHES...that really pisses me off...but haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else...BUT I SURE HEARD HIM SAY IT? :grr:
