Question for those who will not support Dem nominee if he's not 1st choice
It looks like there's some people here who will either vote for a third party candidate or not vote at all if their top choice doesn't get the nomination. I'm trying to understand why. Here's some questions I'd like to have answered if you'd be so kind...

1. Do you believe a third-party candidate or Democratic candidate can beat Bush THIS YEAR if you and all of those of like mind do not vote for the Democrat?

2. Do you believe enough of the 50% of the population who would vote for Bush now would vote for your third party candidate or also not vote?

3. Do you believe that four more years of Bush would actually be good for the liberal cause - i.e. the nation will move so far to the right that the people will rise up in 2008 and swing back to the left? I think it happened before in the 30's during the Depression, but do we really need another Depression to start the country back on a progressive path?

4. Even supposing, worst case, that Lieberman became the nominee, do you believe that President Lieberman would be just as bad or worse for the country than President Bush?

5. Do you believe that the risk of the appointment of ultra-right wing judges and Justices, who will not be gone in 2008, is worth it?

Thanks!

1. Don't even bother.......you won't convince people.....
People want to complain and believe that "enabling" Bush with this vote or that vote is horrible, but that somehow not making your first priority voting for the most likely candidate to get him out of office is doing the country a great service.

2. Good questions because before the primary started
we were all democrats first. I will always be a democrat first and a supporter of a candidate second. I guess that makes it easy for me to be ABB.

I am pleased as punch with some of the leadership? No stinking way, but 4 more years of corruption in the WH is bad. Pretty soon moving to the left will be going back to center. It will be alot more work that has to be done unless we stop it now.
