Michigan unemployment remains above 7% for the 7th straight month

Michigan's unemployment rate remained above 7 percent for the seventh-straight month in December, according to the state Department of Labor and Economic Growth.

The state's unemployment rate rose slightly to 7.2 percent, up one-tenth of a percentage point from the November rate of 7.1 percent, according to a state report Friday. November's rate was revised from preliminary estimates of 7 percent
