Cheney live on CNN (4:20am EST)
Speaking to the World Economic Forum, spreading the message of terror, fear, gloom, and doom.

It's almost sickening to watch, but hey, why not share your misery with the rest of the late-night crowd.

1. Why in the name of God
is the man up so early?

Were I to relate this to network timeslots, his show would be ripe for cancellation.

3. But Clinton's was just great. And the people of the world like him.
And I fear the world must go the way Clinton thinks to go in the right way.

4. CNN text
"Cheney: Threats must be met where they are, before they come to U.S."

Arrrrrgh. I don't need to be all worked up like this right before I need to get to bed.

5. Cheney taking questions!
Edited on Sat Jan-24-04 04:52 AM by Newsjock
at the World Economic Forum!

Question: Will our citizens be treated with greater dignity when they visit your country?

Cheney: I will pass on messages to my colleague, John Ashcroft.

Question: What about Paul O'Neill?

Cheney: I guess I'm not the best personnel officer in the world.

7. Officer?
The only officer he's ever been is corporate officer. What's with the military nomenklatura? I guess no one will contradict the Dresser Dicktator in Drag to his face. Something bad might happen. Like their girlfriend might get kidnapped and murdered. Or a sniper spree might break out or you might get anthrax in the mail.

6. CNN cuts away after FIRST TOUGH QUESTION!
Edited on Sat Jan-24-04 05:33 AM by Newsjock
What the holy heck!? Right after the O'Neill question, they cut the audio and go into instant analysis while still showing the picture of Cheney talking live.

Media whores!

On edit: CNN cut away so they wouldn't disrupt the scheduled showing of "People in the News: Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez." No, I'm not making this up. Cheney taking live unscripted questions for the first time in ages, and CNN dumps it for Ben and J.Lo. I'm speechless, practically beside myself with anger.

Fargin icehole media whores.

On another edit: Looks like webcasts are available on 24-hour delay.

No idea if it will contain the Q&A or not.

8. BBC World interviews Barney Frank
"I do believe that, in the context of a vigorous military, ... you should be talking about economic issues. And he (Cheney) ignored them."

"I agreed with the policy in Afghanistan. I did not agree with the policy in Iraq."

we shall erect a statue made of concrete, with him inside.
