terrorism why don't we attack Chechnya? We have acknowledged they are harboring terrorist and allowing Putin to do whatever but why haven't we joined in? Isn't there oil in Chechnya?

1. IIRC, we don't recognize Chechnya as a country.

Russia's position is that Chechnya is an unruly province. It would be like Russia sending troops to help the North in the Civil War. Or something.

Besides, we're too busy finding all those WMDs in Iraq.
