EU code of conduct? We'll sell them arms as long as they don't use them? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Europe never could be trusted....they aren't any better the the criminals we have in the good ole USA.
Funny thing is...we keep talking about Eviiiile dictators killing their own populations, invading other nations and supporting terrorists....yet we never ask where the hell it is the weapons used to do the killing come from. We never seek to eliminate the source of the weapons these eviiiile dictators have used, are using and want to use. Weapons which are marketed as a means to more efficiently kill larger numbers of people.
Seems to me the easiest way to cut down on the killing dictators do...is to flip through the pages of Janes....take down the name of every company marketing equipment for killing and figure out who the boards and execs are of each of those companies. Any time one of their products is found to have been sold to an Eviiiiile Dictator they Get a visit from the DOJ and are presented with a oneway ticket to Gitmo.
Oooops!! I forgot...it's not guns that kill people, it's people that kill people!

3. Yes, I think that's also their code of conduct re: drugs |
|
You can have your drug of choice but only if you are going to frame it and hang it on the wall. ;-)
Drugs and weapons are for display purposes only.

Me right, the first confrontation W had was with China. And someone backed down. Don't see how Wall Mart can support China to the tune of 10% of their GNP?
Where is Patriot II? Or is that only for individuals?

7. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. |
|
Maybe it has something to do with Bush's pre-emptive war policy, Bush's attitude toward Europe, and the Congressional bashing of the French, Germans, and anyone else who objected?

12. its geopolitical chess |

China and china warmongering in the US wastes resources and further weakens the USA imperial hegemony. By selling a few military things to china, europe helps break the USA's power to impose its will across the world.
Was nixon's visit to china "friendly" to human rights in 1972... arguably not, or arguably so, depending on how you interpret geopolitics. The EU's move is pro-human rights, as the US stands against human rights in practice.
For every step the US takes towards totalitarian empire, the rest of the world will gear up to weaken that empire... tit for tat.
