LCR: has not decided to endorse or not endorse President Bush in 2004.
http://www.lcr.org/

We would like to clarify a story in the January 22nd edition of the New York Times.

While we are seriously concerned with the content and tone of the President's State of the Union speech, Log Cabin has not decided to endorse or not endorse President Bush in 2004.

Log Cabin has a clear process for all endorsements and we will follow that process. The decision will be made only after consultation with our grassroots members across America.

The Log Cabin National Board will make any endorsement decision later this year consistent with the timeline and process of past elections. Our statement, released yesterday, regarding the State of the Union speech can be found here.

1. JC Watt's father
had the perfect analogy for the LCR:

An African-American (or homosexual) who votes Republican is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.

Cognitive dissonance at its finest.

2. They are, frankly,
totally fucking CRAZY if they endorse Shrub, or even THINK of endorsing him! I simply cannot believe they even have to seriously consider this endorsement (or lack thereof). If they didn't already know just what he thought of them, the Chimp's SOTU should have given them their final clue.

Why the hell would anyone who's gay even THINK about being republican, anyway? The repuke contempt and hatred of gays and their attempts to destroy and/or prevent any rights for them at all should be quite obvious to anyone with half a brain cell.

3. They are in such denial
They haven't said enough against the fucker for his SoTU comments.

They are letting the whole gay community world wide down by not saying what needs to be said.

I haven't said much about the SoTU as yet. I am going through a bit of a dilemma and feel it isn't my place to say so much, being as how I am not an American citizen. But these people ARE citizens of the United States, and they should be saying that they don't support Bush* because it wrong for a pResident to deem a group of citizens as second class any time, but especially in a SoTU address.

They are gutless fucking wonders.

4. America desperately awaits
...news of whom Andrew Sullivan is going to endorse! The fate of the world hinges on the outcome!

Well, no it doesn't. But it would be fairly funny if the most benighted and misconceived political faction in human history decided to marginally see the light and not endorse the de facto head of the American Fundamentalist Party, dedicated to stamping out the Queers and Their Agenda wherever they may appear.

Wonder if Sully actually thinks Bush has anything but the merest contempt for him and his ilk?
