Powell in Russia lecturing Putin about democracy!
I saw this report on CBC Newsworld and it made me want to puke....With all the damage Bush and his buddies, including Powell have done to American democracy, it is unbelievable that he would have the gall to lecture anyone else...
<snip> Powell set the tone for the discussions early with an article printed on the front page of the Russian newspaper Izvestia on Monday. "Russia's democratic system seems not yet to have found the essential balance among the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government. Political power is not yet fully tethered to law. Key aspects of civil society – free media and political party development, for example – have not yet sustained an independent presence," Powell wrote.

P.S....the underlining is mine
