Poll question: If Dean's the nominee, who should be his VP?

Edit: I just added Gephardt. A Midwesterner makes some sense.

1. Graham or Harkin
both would be good picks -- experience inside Washington, southern or midwest picks would really help the ticket.

2. Gen. Zinni - he would be good on national defence and he is a rabid anti-
Bush. I think he is Spanish?? or some minority background. Would cover lots of bases on a Dean/Zinni ticket.

4. Edwards would be good
as a VP for Dean. He brings with him Carolina roots, including family involvement in the old textile industries which would carry weight with many in the South, especially among older folks. Being only a first term Senator, he would be harried by the pubs on his 'lack of experience' were he to head the Dem ticket. Edwards also has been outlining a fairly good (progressive) assessment of the developing cleavage (chasm) since 2000 of 2 classes in the U.S. - the rich elite and the workers (lower/middle classes alike). Just my opinion, worth what it cost you.

That said, I could vote for any of our Dem primary candidates in good conscience & wish them all well.

6. I don't like him, and I don't trust him, but ...
Clark would be the best choice of running mate for Dean with regard to beating Dubya. Clark and Kerry have the military credentials, and Kerry is a fellow New Englander, so that leaves Clark.

10. If Dean wins, he needs some military to back him up...
thats just the way it is, Clark or Kerry, although I doubt they would settle for 2nd place.

Would love to see a clark/dean or kerry/dean ticket too.
