|
Yahoo! Looks like the terminally obnoxious/remorseless one is about to get his gargantuan, Reich Wing behind nailed to the wall! Bring it on, evil pigboy!!! http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/southflorida/sfl-prush23jan23,0,6767877.story?coll=sfla-home-headlines

1. Al Franken said it best... |
|
...Limbaugh pretty much danced on Jerry Garcia's grave. Got on the high moral horse about drugs and how he got what he deserved. Time will tell if Pillsbury Dough Boy will get his.

When he died, Rush went off for a week with "Who cares about some drug addict from a hippie family."
River was a huge environmentalist, animal rights liberal.
You could actually hear the elation in Rush's voice the week he died.

3. Yeah, Rush checked in to one of "the finest drug-rebhab clinics" |
|
Gee, I wish I could do that. No "country club" clinics for the average citizen. I hope he goes to jail.

Of the rich taking advantage of the wonderful infrastructure that America offers to them... using something that is not available to the common man.

4. Has he been back to Florida since admitting his addiction? |
|
This guy is an amazing ass. (That's "is". Spell it correctly.) He's offered a cream puff plea bargain and he's too arrogant to accept it.

Black wrote, "The public is better served by treating addicts as patients rather than criminals."
But sorry, fat boy, I want to see you in jail.

7. and a glaring inconsistency or two |
|
"...since Limbaugh does not have a criminal record, the prosecutors' offer would have allowed the judge to withhold a formal finding of guilt, meaning Limbaugh would not be a convicted felon if he successfully completed all terms of his probation."
Now check the records of Jeff Christie.
"Since Limbaugh admitted his problem and sought treatment, Black wrote that an intervention program would be appropriate because it would "require him to continue his addiction treatment."
Black wrote, "I believe this proposal would be in keeping with the public interest. The public is better served by treating addicts as patients rather than criminals."
but that's not what pig-boy preached to his 'public', is it?

12. Jail time for El Druggo Rushbo? |
|
Possibly? Too good to be true, I'm sure.
I, for the life of me, can not remember any celebrity doing hard time for simple abuse. If one gets caught with the offending items, that is different. If I am incorrect, please advise.

was caught with drugs (cocaine) more than once. Second time they actually did send him to jail. Same with Paul, he was caught with some grass.
If you think about it, if prosecutors went after everyone that checked themselves into rehab, your CD collection wouldn't be half of what it is today. Same could be said for Hollywood.
That is why I believe there is little chance of Rush doing any hard time. Hope I'm wrong.

Edited on Mon Jan-26-04 11:37 PM by rocknation
Prosecutors say they think they have evidence that Limbaugh committed at least 10 felonies by illegally obtaining overlapping drug prescriptions... Well, what about the housekeeper's tapes? What about the buys in the Denny's parking lot? What about the money laundering charges? What about the 4,000 pills? Has the prosecution decided to forget about all that?
(The prosecution) offered to end the investigation if Limbaugh pleaded guilty to a single felony for "doctor shopping" and agreed to a three-year term of probation, a deal that Limbaugh's Miami attorney Roy Black called "preposterous" on Thursday. I was upset about this at first, but I realized that the prosecution had to have been bluffing. Of course Black thought their offer was preposterous--opening bids are ALWAYS preposterous! And of course Black would come up with a more "realistic" counteroffer: Rush does neither hard time NOR probation. The prosecution WANTED to be turned down--now they're free do their jobs for real!
