1. Know a guy who left his company...

...to get some sort of job in airport security.

His family graphics business, which has been around for over 40 years, had shrunk to just him and his brother, so he sold his half to his brother, and went for the job security thing in the airport security business. To be fair, the business shrinkage is due in part to the advent of digital technology and desktop publishing, but the past two years have just been extra brutal for these guys.

The remaining brother is squeaking by for now... probably because he knows there's not much chance to find a regular job anyway, so he might as well stay "self-employed."
