BBV: Need urgent help in Michigan

As you may know, Michigan voters will have the option of using the Internet in their Primary election in February. Other states, and the military, are planning to do this as well. We at VerifiedVoting.org think this is an awful idea, and while opposing Internet voting is not our principal mission, we cannot sit by and simply remain silent on this issue.

We are considering a media event in Southfield Michigan on Thursday, February 5th (around 10AM).

If you could attend this event, featuring a respected expert in the area of Internet voting and computer security, we need you. More importantly, we need to know right away if you can attend (for sure) and whether you could possibly help at some level in making local preparations.

The immediate urgency is due to the need to book a flight tomorrow (Jan 27) for the speaker who will lead this event. Booking the flight after tomorrow will cost much more, thus the urgency to decide if we have enough interested folks to attend the event, and thus proceed with our plans or just give it a pass...
