Wal Mart - Bigger & Newer than ever before
They have built a Wal-Mart in my bathroom and abandoned it; now they are building a Wal-Mart in my living room. They've built one in my closet and abandoned it, and now they are building one in my den. It's insane.

2. Citizens of a town near me are fighting back

My understanding is that Glendale, AZ, has already refused to grant Wal-Wart permission to build a supercenter that would replace another one, leaving the first one as a huge gaping empty shell.

Now the people of Goodyear, AZ, are initiating a referendum to keep Wal-wart from building a new supercenter just three miles from an existing one. The Goodyear P&Z commission was against it, but the city council claimed they needed the sales tax dollars -- like, duh, you morans, you think people won't shop in smaller, locally-owned stores and generate the same tax dollars? oh, you'd rather they buy lots of cheap plastic made-in-china-by-slave-labor crap?

I hate, loathe, and despise Wal-Wart and I can't believe my dumb-as-a-box-of-rocks-and-lazier-than-dirt sister still shops there after what they did to my dad.

Tansy Gold, who will not set foot inside a Wal-Wart building

3. on the local evening news (NBC/NYC)
there was a NEWS STORY about the opening of a new Wal-Mart.

I didn't see or hear the report as my head spontaneously EXPLODED at that moment.
