Drema's Dems aim to keep party's traditional values

Like Emily’s List, the new group will support women who want to run for office and will become more involved in politics.

“Drema’s Dems is a group of liberal, progressive women Democrats and like-minded independents,” according to an e-mail invitation. “We are the West Virginia female version of Joe Six-pack. Our primary purpose is to keep traditional Democratic values true ...”

The group will support candidates who support abortion rights, said Delegate Carrie Webster, D-Kanawha.


Personal note--I went to college with Delegate Webster and she's fantastic.
