What do you think? Will the evil perpetrators be brought to justice, or will the wagons be circled again on the basis of national security?

15. very crucial point you make
we can't become complacent, there is too much at stake.

I for one will be advocating/demanding that the PNAC/BFEE crew be held accountable for their criminal actions.

3. Investigations start in the house.. We need control of the legislature
or the media.. :(..

Watergate investigations would ahve never happened without a dem congress and a "hungry" media..

4. In reality, probably not
Just from experience, I remember having very high hopes that the Clinton administration would do some cleaning up of all the loose (unraveled) threads from the Bush I and Reagan regimes. They didn't. Now several of the perpetrators from back then either have radio shows or are making money on speaking tours. The rest all seem to be in the current Bush regime.

So I guess I'm not counting on it happening in 2005 if the Democrats win, either.

5. No. It would not be supportive of business interests

Americans are united in bipartisan support for the War on Terror.

6. Oh, they'll be investigations
of the Democratic president by the Republican Congress. Probably starting a week after inauguration day. Then they will bring back the "independent" counsel law to appoint some tool to spend 4 years harassing the president.

Seriously, the next Democrat in the WH had better bring an army of lawyers with him to deal with all the investigations.

17. Exactly what I was going to say.
But one good thing to come out of this, is that the media will start questioning, and criticizing the President again...once a Democrat is back in office.

11. No
To put it simply: I'm not sure the Democrats have the guts.

If they go in this direction, not only will they be subject to repeated blasts from the Party-Loyal Right-Wing Sub-media (which, when counting the number of Bushevik Loyalists who have infiltrated Corporate TV Pravda is by far the largest media organization in Amerika) but of course there are anthrax mailings, Wellstoning, and the very popular suiciding by untraceable ratshot or by being pushed from a tall window onto a hard surface.

No, I don't believe the Democrats have the will or spine to investigate the Imperial Cesspool, even if only threatened with the least of those reprisals.

Sorry, it's just how I feel.

14. Actually I agree with you. I just wish there was some way to find out
exactly what happened. Given that we're still getting the lone gunman 40 years after JFK I guess we'll never know.

12. Only if Kucinich wins...
Clark, Kerry, Lieberman and Edwards are all onside with the fake War Of Terror. And they'll be under orders from the Military Industrial Complex to keep it that way. The truth behind 9-11 will be kept covered up, just like JFK's assassination, because of the damage that it would do to the myth of American Democracy.

16. It has become clear to me
that industrial/government controlled media is the key to why we are losing everything. It may be more important to clean this up than electing our guys.
