Sell me on your MLK assassination theory.
Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 05:39 PM by durutti
Of all the assassinations that occurred in the U.S., I think MLK's is the one that has the "official story" most full of holes.

So:

1. Did James Early Ray kill MLK? Why do you think as you do?

2. Was the MLK assassination the product of a conspiracy? Explain.

2. back when
James Earl Ray was trying to get a new trial (around '96-'97)...One of the news shows looked into it and speculated (convincingly) that some powerful RW businessman in St. Louis (don't remember his name) and his cronies commissioned Ray to do the killing.

I don't believe the gov't was involved because honestly, I would estimate there were hundreds of thousands who wanted him dead and had the means to do it

5. There was a lot about the MLK murder that only agencies of the
government could have accomplished. For instance, as with all government conspiracies, the cover-up.

Haven't got time tonight to get into this, but transcripts of the 1999 MLK wrongful death trial, which found the United States government conspired to kill the man, can be found here:

http://www.thekingcenter.com/news/trial.html

I also recommend reading William Pepper's Orders to Kill and Act of State, and Probe magazine's anthology The Assassinations.

3. One word: Hoover
The old cross-dressing nazi had it in for MLK since day one. Ray was just a "patsy" just as Oswald and Sirhan were.
