Bob Novack, Jon Stossel and Geraldo Rivera should be made to share a cell someplace. Is would be the trash journalist capital of the world.

12. I got the skinny from Sym - he caught the guy who got shoved!
Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 07:01 PM by americanstranger
More of the story is now up on TBTM.... and we'll be updating it there as we learn more.

Sym was behind the guy who got pushed, and caught him as he fell backwards. The guy is now considering filing assault charges against Novak.

To anyone in Manchester who was there: if you saw what happened or maybe had a still camera or video of the incident, contact us at TBTM:

symbolman@takebackthemedia.com or stranger@takebackthemedia.com

We may be helping the victim with legal representation should he decide to file charges.

Sym apparently got into an argument with Tucker Carlson, who told Sym to 'get over it' because Novak was an 'old man.' Sym asked Tucker if he could give the BowTie a shove and see how he liked it.

We might have video of the incident. Stay tuned!

-as

PS: For those who don't know, Blah3 is my 'other car' - the blog I keep while I'm not doing TBTM.

24. His phone number is 202-393-4340. He'd love to hear from DU
I called the number, had to leave a message. Basically told him that if he hadn't outed Valerie Plame, he wouldn't be branded a traitor. Told him the last time I checked, free speech was still allowed in this country (oops, forgot about bush zones). Also told him to grow up.

I think the gentleman will win the assault case against Novak. I'm glad this happened. The Repubs are showing their true colors more and more, and it ain't a pretty sight.

30. Victor Boc, local hate radio host in Portland, Oregon,

was making all kinds of whining noises about Al Franken
tackling that heckler.

I sent this to Mr. Boc asking him whether or not he felt
any outrage that a 'conservative' had attacked a heckler.

Know what? Mr. "I Suck Bush's Cock For A Living" didn't
have a word to say.

Funny how that works.

34. strange day all around..
I'll write the whole story out tomorrow and see about encoding some of the film shot at the event.. we'll be getting the police report in a few days as well..

We also followed the little shit with a camera after someone ELSE called him a Traitor at the Kerry event and he decided to not be in the room anymore..

it's funny, really, no one was hurt (altho the shoved guy - who DID NOT go flying though the air - COULD have slipped in the icy sidewalk and opened up his head or crushed his spine..

I'll never forget the animal like look on Novakula's face (jelly white) right before he was dragged away from the scene.. his fist still locked up tight and pulled back, ready to punch our friend out..

I'm pretty sure it was Begala that pushed him onto the CNN Bus, Begala came out while there was still hubub and actually SLUNK around the front of the bus and the curb to avoid the crowd.. I spotted him and yelled at him, "Hey Begala! You want to explain why Novak assaulted this guy right here?" but he didn't even look back.. gone..

more later, have to get some sleep - we've been covering the Primary here for over two weeks..

Novak is losing his mind, I've worked in two nuthouses and I know the look... and once they get violent, they're gone.. too hot in his lil mental kitchen..

once again, any pics or film from anyone there will help bolster the case -- unlike what Stranger has said elsewhere, TBTM is NOT taking on our friend's case -- we were witnesses and know someone that wants to hire a lawyer in the morning for Brad, but WE aren't suing anyone..

However, I WILL be asking for Novak's RESIGNATION On Take Back the Media.. he's out of control and it appears he's committed a CRIME with many witnesses.

Begala has done a hell of a lot for us. If he were to go off on Novak he wouldn't have the platform he has now on crossfire. Who's the only guy on any major media outlet who has been almost daily, for years now, calling Bush* AWOL? Paul Begala that's who.

I'm sorry but he needs to be defended. I'm sure he feels that Novak is a crazy old bastard who sold out his country for his political friends as much of any of us does but he's not in a position at the moment to do anything about it. Give him the benefit of the doubt.

That there's some possible prison time for Mr. Novak.

A civil suit would also be exceedingly enjoyable.

Looks like there's plenty of witnesses, too. This could be an Excellent circus, a lawyer might take this case pro-bono just for the fame factor.

This TV trial will take the heat off of masters Jackson and Peterson! Boob has a Friend who's a famous lawyer, named re-Gretta Von Cesspool! Maybe she can help Bob get off with a plea bargain!(insanity? (He's just crazy about Bush?) If re-Greda can't spring Nofact, then I reckon he and Rush will have lots of quality hard time together, to bond and to dwell on their sinful ways and maybe straighten themselves up a wee tad! They are going to can his ass and it delights me to no end. He deserves jail for the rest of his life but if he gets canned it will be something anyway. Money is the most important thing in the world to Novak, probably even more so than his freedom so if he loses his paycheck it will sting like all blazes. People are starting to awaken and Bush* and cronies aren't gunna like it.

49. No one can really "fire" a guy like him..He has connections
Edited on Wed Jan-28-04 12:43 PM by SoCalDem
He was always just an "inside" man for the RNC.. He goes back a LONG way...all the way to Nixon, and maybe even before that.. He proved his "loyalty" long ago, and his cover as a "journalist" and editorial writer gave him the perfect credentials to do just what he has been doing for all these years.. He is there to sway public opinion and cover up the shit in the litter box that is RNC politics..

If CNN fires him, he will continue to write, and will then just be a "consultant" or "analyst"...

Novak is "un-gettable" , unless he were to be indicted for the Plame Affair ..(That's unlikely to happen)..

He could always write for NewsMax and appear on the air at Faux, but he was always more valuable to the RNC if he was employed by more mainstream venues.. He will eventually end up at CNBC or MSGOP..or failing that, FAUX..

Slimy bastards like him are hard to get rid of.. and he knows it :(

50. Yes but the CNN paycheck would not be there
He may write for some other places but not on a daily basis and have the audience he now has. He will be relegated to Conservative Papers only and they are diminishing in audience. People are not renewing subscriptions to mags like Spectator. They are now and have been for some time losing money. He needs a national audience to be effective and it is in danger at the moment. IMHO

52. Did Anyone See Novak Last Night
commenting on the New Hampshire results? It was after 9pm on the west coast, so it was after midnight on the east coast. He looked horrible--more pale and gaunt than usual and he was speaking with this thin, gentle, contrived, soft voice. He almost appeared to have been a little tipsy or on some sort of medication. For a moment I almost felt sorry for him--he just seemed so pathetic, but he really should be held accountable for his recent actions, even if he is an old man on his way down.
