OSP, CIA , and the big bad intel...
There are a couple of threads going on about the OSP and the CIA, and the charge of bad intel from David Kay...mods...please don't lock as a dupe...this issue is to huge to be ignored...

Now...has anyone read the entire Kay report...I got bored with it after about ten pages...does he mention the CIA in anyway shape or form...?

Is it possible that the White House doesn't want an outside investigation because of what was going on behind closed doors and the OSP will be found out...

Please post any/all links here so others can post this stuff all over the web...

And finally...how about everyone posting some email address to news stations that just might focus on this...we have to get this stuff out, by mailing and continue mailing networks and show the lies this administration pulled on the American people...

1. Is it possible?

I'd go as far as to say that it is likely. An investigation into this sort of thing might make the buck stop somewhere other than somewhere else (not at the administration's feet).

Edited on Thu Jan-29-04 07:26 PM by Cleita
have a clue about reading which country has what because our intelligence apparently isn't very good. ??? He said we failed with the Soviet Union, with Vietnam, and now Iraq, etc. etc. etc.??? We failed to read that their infrastructures were falling apart???

Isn't this what my tax money has gone to all these years? I thought all those big budgets for military and national security was supposed to be paying for state of the art intelligence!

WHO THE HELL STOLE MY MONEY!!!

4. The Corporate Media is helping Bush greatly in this
Edited on Thu Jan-29-04 07:33 PM by rustydog
They are not asking Kay, Rice, Rumsfeld, ANYONE this question:
Where did you get your intelligence? was it CIA, NSA,Military Intelligence, State Dept. intel, OSP, Whare?
We hear that the CIA and it's brethren EXCEPT for OSP were telling you that there is no froof of WMD...Who told you in a way that made you say "We know where they are and how much they have...He has 500 tons of Sarin and VX gas..etc?"

The Media is so complicit in this. Every single Anchor will spend the rest of their life trying to cleanse the blood of tens of thousands of dead from their hands because they were Bush*s cheerleaders for this war.

I believe the administration/David Kay party line would probably be, all of the above (as OSP doensn't produce intelligence out of thin air --almost, but not quite--, in addition to INC types it gets intelligence from all of the above). In the end it would end up being the C.I.A.'s fault by default. Because that's only part of the question. It's not just intelligence but also the quality of the intelligence (is it just some unfounded rumor on the same level of Walt Disney's body being cryogenically frozen? Or does it boil down to being irrefutable fact*? --because all of it would be considered intelligence at one point). It's about a willingness to grasp at anything no matter how questionable if it supports what they want to see and to reject anything that does not support what they want to see.

See http://www.newyorker.com/fact/content/?031027fa_fact

Of course, if real investigation is allowed, all of it will rightfully land at the administration's feet making the players to be liars or grossly incompetent. And we can't have that, can we?

* Do note that Bushy, Powell, Rummy, et al were pretty adamant that the intelligence was excellent and left little (if any) room for uncertainty in interpretation.
