Even if Bush did produce Bin Laden in October.... |
Do you think that would win him the election? I don't, but I'm usually overly faithful in the public.

and the people falls for it....I would have to feel that a great amount of the American people are stupid, stupid, stupid.

the media would not stop talking about how Bush has now won the war on terrorism, after the election they can go back to focusing on how the war has to continue.

If we do catch Osama, BuschCo. will claim they are the protectors(Big Brother) of America and that if you want to defeat terrorism(Eastasia) you must vote for them. The people will vote for them because they have had the idea that the terrorists (Eurasia) are just around the corner ready to attack them.

15. I think that all depends on how TV spins it |
Most likely, they'll spin it in the Bush propaganda tradition, in which case it will influence a lot of people. TV can sway public opinion, nationwide, in 48 hours or less. 'twould be nice if they became more independent before the election. I hold out this faint hope that journalists long to be journalists again, and will help push Bush out. That's a pretty faint hope, though.
