Since republicans/democrats and liberals |
|
all agree that is sucks the way our jobs are being sent over seas why don't we do something about it?
We are definitely the majority! Why don't we refuse to buy anything unless it is a necessity until coorporate America changes its ways.
I can't believe I am typing this, but I know together we can make a change in the way our government is acting. Why do we only complain, why not do something about it?

1. Because the media is controlled by the right-wing |
|
Five conglomerates own 90% of the newspapers, radio stations and TV channels in this country. No surprise that these media titans are some of the biggest donors to the Bush re-election coffers.
The 'free media' would never report this kind of dissent-it paints a bad picture of our glorious 'economic recovery'! :eyes:

2. Because what unites us is not our shared concerns... |
|
but our shared TV networks. Until we control the pipelines of communication...in a widespread way...we won't be able to unite and fight anything.
I actually started a company to do my small part...www.infobeing.net. It ties together bloggers, news sources, and people using the site. It's in beta and we'll have a drastically improved look-and-feel soon.
The larger point is, though, that it isn't enough to just write and talk about what's going on...we need to actively create infrastructure and SYSTEMIC solutions if we want to control any kind of movement.

5. But they don't all agree. |

Most in high office think it is appropriate. IMHO It is nothing more than tax evasion and should be addressed.

7. I am not referring to the Corporations that have moved their offices |

off-shore to avoid corporate taxes although that is important also. I am referring to the jobs that are being outsourced and when you pay a foreignor you don't take out payroll taxes or any taxes for that matter. That is the tax base I'm referring to and it is becoming severe. All those jobs that used to be American jobs with American taxes taken out of their checks is now lost revenue for America. It is a huge increase in revenue for the CEOs who just got a HUGE tax cut. America is suffering in more ways than one. Remember an Employer pays quite a bit more for each employee than people realize and that money is now being accumulated at the top instead of into our infrastructure and education and health care etc. For every tax dollar taken out of an employee's check, another percentage gets paid by the employer. That revenue is now lost to America.
