Can CNN be named as co-defendant in the Novak case? |
|
If the person who Novak assaulted files suit against Novak could he/they also name CNN as co-defendant since Novak was/is their mouth piece and was working for CNN at the moment the incident occurred. After all they chose to keep Novak on the payroll and in the public eye even though they knew he had outed a CIA agent. In my un-educated opinion they are culpable. They should have realized some people would take offense at a Traitor staying employed in such a prominent position.

Unlikely....
The story is that Novak was coming out of some resturant and shoved the guy after he made some "traitor" remark.
Not like he was on the air or in a CNN office or anything like that.
Gee, I guess Novak is a little sensitive about being called a Traitor... hopefully his republican masters will give him another bone in his dish this week to make up for it.

3. Why not, Novak was on duty for CNN, just because he was not in |
|
front of a camera does not mean that he was not working. He represents CNN, he was going towards the CNN bus, why wouldn't CNN be at least asked about this incident? I have not heard anyone in the media talk about this. Maybe it's because they are afraid of what kind of info might come out about how the media pundits act.

4. That's a damned good idea |

I think CNN should be held responsible.. who are they going to hire next? Charlie Manson? Joe Scaroborough? (no wait, he's on MSNBC) :)
I'll tell Brad to tell his lawyers about this..

5. There should be consequences to their actions IMHO |
|
They knowingly kept this man on the job in the spotlight after he committed what many would call an act of treason. They are guilty of aiding and abetting a traitor. IMHO

just the words "sue and court" are enough to get CNN babbling apologies because they'll at the very least be tried in the media. *l*

8. Having once been sued because a car crashed into me |
|
and caused me to crash into the car in front of me, it was explained to me by the insurance lawyer that in a lawsuit you sue everyone even remotely involved in order to get a case. I think this fits the scenario.
