Freeper Fascists plan counter protest march in April....
Edited on Fri Jan-30-04 03:01 PM by buff2
Why do they always plan protest marches against US? Why can't they plan their marches on a different day than ours? Obviously, they are just out there wanting confrontations.....screaming,pushing and shoving and then blaming the "Libruls". Gaawd....these idiots never cease to amaze me. Read this....the brownshirts are gearing up...

2. Be fair. Twenty guys alone won't get much press.
But 20 Freeps standing up against 500,000 of us? Now that's a story the press can't wait to tell.

Was that their idea of counter protesting?

6. Ever seen a freeper counter protest?
I would be surprised if more than a dozen show up. They couldn't even rally supporters to counter the anti-war protests.
Look at their own pictures for proof.

18. I saw the last one in DC
What a hoot! This rag-tag group of wild-eyed whackos, almost all of whom were wearing NRA caps, teeth missing, marching down the sidewalk - all 25 or so. One of them asked me where a building (Hart) was - I pointed them in the wrong direction and they happily marched off, never to be seen again.

40. FReeper protest in our hometown
A local right-wing talk show host decided to stage a counter-protest several months back to intimidate the anti-war folk who were doing nothing more harmful than standing on a street corner in town with lit candles for half an hour once a week.

Here's what happened as a result:

http://archives.seattletimes.nwsource.com/cgi-bin/texis.cgi/web/vortex/display?slug=kvi02m&date=20030402&query=Duvall+pro+war+protest (hopefully, it won't wrap.)

The only way they could locate enough people for the "counter protest" was to bus them in (for free,) feed and water them (for free, and all afternoon,) and the blasting Lee Greenwood/Toby Keith tunes generally shut down business in our downtown area. We live in a town of less than 6,000. The anti-war (and much quieter,) folks were harassed, physically threatened, and confronted by the same wild-eyed FReepers mentioned on other posts in this thread. How do I know this? I was there. One of our officers advised me that it was "unsafe" for me to be there, and they were anticipating trouble from the pro-war folks. Several of the merchants further uptown closed for the rest of the afternoon; one of those merchants told me that she was afraid there'd be rioting.

Here's the most interesting part of the story, though. The talk show personality mentioned in the article is a resident of our town. He quickly put the kibosh on the weekly protests. It seems that people were supposedly showing up at his home and leaving things on his front porch he didn't like. I don't condone this activity, and have no idea who was doing it. At the same time, he then requested increased police protection for himself and his family. He didn't like the higher profile.

BTW, I've heard from those in high echelons of law enforcement that they know who the FReepers are, and their reputation is less than positive.

8. Let 'em march!
The more, the merrier.

I don't think many will turn out, but let them protest to their hearts' content.

In fact, let's provide free coffee, and volunteer to make runs to the local 7-11s (or equivalent).

Let them see what real Christianity is like -- especially when practiced by atheists, pagans, and other infidels.

A more pathetic sight I have never seen -- at most, a couple of dozen (at its height) folks hiding behind police tape.

Kind of sad, actually...

Not much to worry yourself over.

If I'm not mistaken this was the same day last year that 15 million people turned out worldwide to protest going to war.

12. They say they've've locked up eight blocks of sidewalk along the route
All of these tens of thousands of radical liberals will be marching from the Lincoln Memorial to the National Mall... but they made a critical mistake. They failed to secure the sidewalks midpoint along their parade route, and WE now have a permit for EIGHT BLOCKS of sidewalk on either side of Pennsylvania Avenue, from 15th Street to 7th! The "March of the Radical Leftists" will have to pass through eight blocks of peaceful, hard-working, patriotic Americans holding up various signs and banners promoting conservative values and denouncing all that these socialists hold dear.
So, given their normal wimpy-ass turnouts, that should figure to about five per block (not including 12 to guard the porta-potties). Hold me, mommy, I'm skeered...

20. Guarding the Porta-Potties?
Since I wasn't at any of these marches, does this mean they actually stood in front of porta potties trying to block protestors from using them? If this is the case that is pretty friggin' low. Asking for a physical confrontation so they'll have something to report. Wouldn't surprise me. Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

Question is: . would you raelly want to use one ? ..

I think I would rather go elsewhere ...

39. My apologies for the mistaken impression
It's kind of a standard joke amongst the non-freeper crowd. I don't think anyone's ever been shot or otherwise assaulted trying to obtain some relief without a PottyPass(tm). But it does bring up some interesting images -- 500,000 people storming the Imperial Porta-Potties, for example, while the Valiant Pseudo-Patriots stand their ground defending their Precious Body Fluids...
Arise!
Liberate the Porta-Potties!

protest the occupation -- March 20 is the anniversary of our bombing of Baghdad. But I think the March event is only taking place in a few cities and I don't think Washington is one of them. So maybe there is a different one taking place in Washington in April.

Here's the Answer info on the March 20 event.

33. Because without us, they are irrelevant
Think about it. They are sycophantic whores for the administration. They love the administration more than they love the country or its citizens. Imagine if they had one of there mutual masturbation rallies without having anything to focus their hatred on. Then it would just be a bunch of overweight losers who worship someone who is an alcoholic and has the IQ of mayonaise.

So they need "evil, America-hating libruls" to "protest".

Sorry, FReepers, but you aren't "activists" if you are just showing up to silence and intimidate dissenters.
