These two statements must be reconciled...
"I take personal responsibility for everything I say, absolutely," the president said. Previously, he let CIA Director George Tenet and a national security aide take blame for the controversy.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/07/30/politics/main565825.shtml

From July 30, 2003 - must be reconciled with today's:

"I want the facts," the president, who built his case for invading Iraq (news - web sites) on charges Saddam Hussein (news - web sites) had chemical and biological weapons, said during a brief public appearance with economists who support his policies.

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20040130/pl_afp/us_iraq_bush&cid=1521&ncid=1473

These two statements seem at odds do they not? Would that an honest and capable media be able to put these two statements under closer scrutiny under the larger context of the whole intelligence issue, which still includes the as yet unresolved yellowcake 16 word problem, with the unresloved issue of the Plame affair.

If only we had a real media.

1. I don't think bush was very serious
when he said that he takes responsibility for everything he says. He only takes responsibility when it won't hurt him. Otherwise it's someone else's fault.

6. would be great if at his next pres conference if someone asks
"mr president you have said many times that you 'take personal responsibillity for everything say,' how are you going to take responsiblity for the lack of wmd which you claimed you knew where they were."

or "are you going to resign over the lack of wmd found in Iraq which you said you knew where they were back on ..."

find someone with a backbone and no family.
