1. Compare Ricin to Anthrax |
|
It's assuredly less dangerous than the Anthrax and much more easily handled and contained. The only ingenious thing is that Ricin is unaffected by the radiation used to neutralize the Anthrax at Gov offices.
There are too many things that make this seem self-serving internal attack.
- Ricin is not Anthrax so stop thinking that - Time of high anxiety for BushCo Public image - It was sent to a only to a Publican rather than a Dem
The last point is rather suspicious as in the past only journalists and Dem leaders were the target. Then at in a marvelous twist it is sent to a Pub. Too cute, too convenient.

9. And here's a point you seem to have missed |
|
There actually are bad guys, very bad guys, and women too, out there that are NOT part of the BFEE or neo-conspiracy, or even members of the Republican party.
I'm not saying this is legit, but I am saying there is no proof, or even indication, that I have seen, that it is not.
Wild accusations, without any evidence, are going to hurt us worse than they will *.

7. And I'm sure that if it were sent to a Democrat |
|
it would be "too cute, too convenient" too again have a Dem targeted. But since its a republican, that's proof its a self-serving attack? What?
I wish some of you tinfoilers would take a longer look at reality before discarding for some wild notion without any evidence to back it up. Look at how you came to the conclusion:
- It's not Anthrax... - Time of high anxiety... - Sent to an R instead of a D
It doesn't matter what the circumstances, if anything happens to garner media attention, some people always try and pin it to a conspiracy without even a trace of evidence to back their arguments up. That is one of the most annoying things about this place.

I thought Nipple-Gate has done a wonderful job of distracting us.
We'll hear all about Janet Jackson's breast by the end of the month but we'll have to wait until next year for those 9/11 and Iraqi WMD reports.

4. Things have speeded up to the point where it takes a lot more for |

distraction now a days. Kind of like drugs you know. The more you do, the more you have to do.

You are exactly right. I heard about the ricin and didn't even flinch. In fact, I scoffed.
But a couple of years ago, I was still pretty jumpy over 9/11 so the anthrax had me rather concerned.
I worry that since our tolerance level is going up as a nation, Bu$hco really will pull off the big anniversary attack in NYC just after the convention. (Think they'll show us Osama before or after that attack?)

6. Think they'll catch whomever sent this before they catch the anthrax |
|
mailer? Have they got any leads other than "it's an homegrown strain"?
