I smell a BIG, FAT RAT!
Ricin (one of the least dangerous inhaled poisons) gets sent to Frist and the Republican National Committee. Thankfully, it is discovered before it can cause mass destruction.

Within minutes Frist is on the air.

Lets break this down....

1. This is the type of action only a terrorist do.

2. It is directed at only the Republicans.

3. Who is against the Republicans?

4. Clearly, the inference is that Democrats are terrorists.

This has to be a set up.

Did anyone else notice that last week when the first poll came out showing Bush losing to Kerry, suddenly several air flights were canceled due to credible terrorist activities.

Now, when the media is finally starting to look at Bushie's war record (or lack thereof), suddenly there is a potentially deadly Ricin attack!

I am not buying any of this.

2. I don't see how this is a positive for Repukes
I posted this on another thread:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=102&topic_id=344287&mesg_id=344786

"The fact that the Senate is being hit with chem warfare agents today reminds people that they still haven't caught the Anthrax mailer (and what about Osama?), and they haven't been able to prevent another attack (ie today's).

So, tell me again how this is good for Republicans?"

9. It helps Republicans

by knocking the Dem primaries off the front page and turning them into sympathetic victims rather than computer hackers and WMD liars. We only have their word for it that it's ricin in the first place.

3. I hate to say it, but I agree
I don't trust Bill Frist in the least. Don't forget, they were also taking one of the servers out of his office because his staff was accused of spying on the Democratic emails.

10. I agree as well
What better way to get rid of the REST of the evidence in his office?

4. I agree.
Hitler employed similar tactics when the chips were down. It was calculated first to provide a scapegoat and second to keep the population in a state of perpetual fear.

When they tell you to go on with your lives because you can't give into the terrorists, it's the opposite of what they want. They want you to be afraid, very afraid.

5. Actually, it ISN'T an act only terrorists would do, since the GOP targeted
DEMOCRATS and perceived enemies of the GOP in the first anthrax scare... which was never resolved.

Remember, the NE editor who died of anthrax had been writing scandalous words about the bush gals.

Rove is setting up the GOP to play victim.

6. Hmm when anthrax was sent I didn't here that inference made
Of course that was sent to Dems and the LIEBERAL media so no I couldn't think of anyone who would do that, or blow up a federal office building, or set off a pipe bomb at the Olympics and at abortion clinics-no I don't think those people had anything in common.

7. Frist may be selling...
... but few will be buying. I'm not even really convinced it's ricin. Let's wait for the conclusive test.

In the meantime, if it is ricin it was sent by a wannabee, because it really isn't very dangerous the way it was deployed.

Hopefully, as a country, we are not going to go off the deep end every time some delusional nutball attempts to wreak 'terra'.

8. Ohhh! a "Chemical Reichstag Fire"!
S'Yeah, like ONLY Democrats have any reason to be pissed at the GOP. I've been hearing callers on talk radio saying "I'm a Republican, but i'm disappointed with Bush" more and more.....
