34. It Most Certainly is Shameful, Shameful, Shameful
and I'd like to add, that I find it shameful that not one person in this shameful administration is capable of answering a question.

17. similar to the post-debate
Comments from Gamblin' Bill Bennett and the other Fright Wing Wacko after the debate on Fox 10 days ago or so - they both said it was horrible & shameful that Clark didn't repudiate Moore's remarks.

6. Too bad they are 4 years too late :(
Edited on Tue Feb-03-04 01:51 PM by SoCalDem
* was always kept a great distance from reporters during the campaign and even when he did news events, he was evasive, flip, and dismissive.. They should have seen the handwriting on the wall, but they were all too pleased that he gave them a nickname :(

You look back on the clips from the time, and you will usually see him being "held by the elbow" by someone who's always seeming to rush him along..

He was "managed" from day one.. We SAW it, and the whole press community looked the other way..

THEY are responsible for the mess we have now, as much as he is:(

7. Just tell the truth, Scott
That''s what we taxpayers are paying you to do.

Ultimately, you do not work for the Chimp. You work for the people of the United States. Don't forget that.

Tell the truth, without favor or malice. Let the chips fall where they may.

May justice be done.

12. You know, they always say "bu$h appears above the fray"
somebody needs to point out that he appears above the fray BECAUSE HE NEVER SPEAKS FOR HIMSELF!!!!!! The guy never gives his own press conference, the only time he speaks is when he has his words spelled out (phonetically I would assume) on a piece of paper.

I would like to see the idiot who calls himself pResident of the United States answer these questions.

20. Incidentally, aWol's service problem was mentioned on AM radio news break
a few minutes ago, probably CNN or CBS.

And Mr. Anal Cyst was going around in his usual dark circles about Clinton 'putting' Terry Mac in as DNC head so Terry could attack aWol's record on ABC Sunday, in a conspiracy to distract attention from Clinton's lack of military service. (????????)

21. I saw a good part of this farce.
And the thing that struck me was that the press corpse seemed to have had a small vertebraeic transplant.

The questions were coming fast and furious regarding the dearth of WMDs (even Helen Thomas got in a few good licks).

McClellan, the droning, cardboard cut-out, never directly answered a single question.

Of course, that's his job. To never answer any questions.

22. It Reminds Me Of The Soviets.
I remember staying up one night, when I was in high-school, to watch Ted Koppel interview a Soviet official. I don't remember who it was or what the topic was but I do remember that the official did not answer one, single question. It was maddening. I see that sort of thing more often then not when it comes to our gubment officials these days.

24. Hey, is that our old pal, Manny Noriega?
Edited on Tue Feb-03-04 03:33 PM by SpiralHawk
It sure looks like the Panamanian "Madman" the BushCo-CIA set up in the Axis of their money laundering and drug smuggling, and then and then every so rudely dumped.

Gotta wonder what old Manny is up to in prison these days? Drugged-up ex-dick-tators tell no tales.

But then again, it could be someone else. It's hard to keep the Dick-tators straight without a program or whatever.

Hey, if I ID'd the picture correctly, do I win a doughnut or someything? And if so, can I have a cup of coffee to wash it down. I got the mid-afternoon wallows.

The white House is saying that the Democrats are shameful because they are telling the truth! Shameful is trashing a real war hero the way Sucksbush Chambliss did in Georgia with his ads about Senator Max! The Dems need to blast those commercials all over the media and show people what shameful BASTARDS the GOPers REALLY are!

PS: Guess again about Bushco's truth mentor!

EDIT } Typos due to rage!

Administration not denying that Whistle-Ass received "favorable treatment" in being assigned to the TANG but received an honorable discharge which implies completed service.

Sounds like some very serious shucking, jiving and word parsing to me!{/b}

33. Ask the WH if he received "favorable treatment" while he was IN the TANG
Did the favorable treatment END after he got into the Guard? Or did he continue to get favorable treatment as he skipped out on his obligation?

Scott, at what point did the "favorable treatment" end?

28. Thank you Peter Jennings!
We all know the AWOL story, as does most of the media, yet Jennings was the only one to bring up during the debate. Yes, he framed it in an accusatory manner at Clark (which I believe he had to), but it helped get the story where it is today. And thanks also to Michael Moore and Gen. Clark!
