I have this friend overseas and he's afraid to register with the Embassy. He's American and he really wants to vote so he can help dump Bush, but he's concerned because he doesn't want the American Embassy to have his personal information. The whole Patriot Act and color coding and FBI tracking, etc. has him spooked. I keep trying to tell him he's gotta register 'cause he's gotta vote, but part of me understands his paranoia (which, let's face it, isn't exactly 'unfounded'...)
Any thoughts?

1. When my daughter was overseas, I got the forms from here (Texas) |

and sent them to her. There will be a record, of course, but it should be pretty low profile. She was already registered here so it might be a whole different story if he has never registered before. Do a web search and see what you find. Good luck.
