The man who briefed Bush on Aug 6, 2001 has a book coming out
Richard Clarke, the man who briefed Bush on Aug 6, 2001, has a book coming out that's said to scare Karl Rove.

It's called Against All Enemies.

More information about it can be read here.

6. They're getting to have a real backlog of folks they need to bump off
in small airplane accidents for the sin of truth telling.

15. Surely he has several copies of his manuscript hidden away in many
places. Some things will likely never be generally known, but most of the truth will eventually come out: egg will be on the faces of many who shilled for/voted in lockstep/obstructed for this cabal's actions.

2. wonder....he backtracked ALOT on Ted Koppel a month or so ago
show on Cheney.

when he COULD have gone into detail about his warnings to the admin, the culture of antiClintonism that precluded their paying any attention to any advice profferred.

very disappointing

he pretty much only talked about how powerful Cheney was, especially behind the scenes, and how NOBODY crossed him

anybody see that?

very disappointing

so I'll be hopeful, but not counting chickens, in waiting for this one

Well, that's disappointing. I don't understand why the democrats insist on being civil or naive when we're up against people who will do anything.

If a lifelong GOPer had briefed Clinton, and Clinton had failed to react, just imagine the response. I don't get the deferential treatment.

9. Well, I'd think he'd save the juicy bits for his book release and tour...
So, I'd expect more soon...

3. And Rove planned the Republican Convention
for New York City just before the election.

If this book does what you are saying it does, that place and that time will be perfect--for the Democrats.

Can't you picture the pissed off New Yorkers demonstrating against Bush? And the media will find it hard to ignore those demonstrations.

7. I just checked on Amazon; the presale for the book is up
Oh my God! This could be potentially better than O'Neill and Suskind! If I didn't have so much contempt for Bush and the Neocons I'd almost feel sorry for them!

10. I will never feel sorry for BushCo.
I feel sorry that drawing and quartering is considered cruel and unusual punishment.

12. from the link:
<excerpt>

Well next month we have yet another book to digest -- from the inside of the Bush White House. Richard Clarke, the former NSC counterterrorism expert from Bush I, Clinton and 2 years plus of Bush II is publishing his insider book that takes no prisnors. Word is that Rove is very afraid of what Clarke has to say -- particularly because Clarke was the August 6 2001 briefer of Bush, and there is a good deal about how he got told never to raise such matters again with Bush. Book will get big play. Richard Clarke knows where all the bodies are buried.

13. all these insiders with knowledge of BushCo are working for Kerry now
"The close collaborator with Richard Clarke -- going back to Bush I at NSC was Rand Beers -- who quit last summer in disgust, and walked down the street and volunteered his services to Kerry, where he has been ever since. Beers eventually drew Joe Wilson into the Kerry camp. Taken together this represents about 75 years of high level Bureaucratic Counterterrorism experience -- and it is super connected with every establishment going. To put it mildly, Kerry is not going into battle unarmed and with pacifist intents. If Bin Laden's been warehoused for use in October -- these are the guys who know it, and know who else knows"

It just tells me that Kerry is serious and means business...

14. Well, that's one way of looking at it.
But "super connected with every establishment going" doesn't exactly make me jump for joy.
