What's the deal with Bush and the anti-gay marriage thing? |
|
Is this all he wants to do at this point, to ban homosexuals from getting married? Why is he being a homophobe? Doesn't he realize that it's against the Constitution to ban gay marriages? What's worse is that he wants to officially make marriage a union between a man and a woman in the Constitution! I hope the courts don't allow this. I'm proud of what the Massachussets courts ruled today. At least they have an idea of how the Constitution works.
God I really hate Bush. He needs to go.
ABB 2004.

3. Hitler used Jews. Bush* is using Gays |

It is a way for him to pull his base together via hate and to divert attention from his miserable foreign and domestic polices.

5. Yes, I agree this is the distraction |
|
In fact I was just reading a couple of weeks ago that the gay issue was going to be a big issue in the Bush campaign, so it did not surprise me at all when Bush made it part of his SoTU.

he's a crazy born again christian who takes the bible literally (but only when he feels it's necessary, like forgetting about that whole thou shalt not kill thing...)

He is pandering to his base, which he is losing.
As well as to moderate Christians that would otherwise vote against him.
IMHO anyway.

the Mass. court ruled on today. Being for civil unions kinda changes the subject. Doesn't it?
