21 Gephardt Unions to possibly endorse Kerry tonight or tomorrow
As some of you know, I did my internship for a Democratic fundraiser in DC. The main clients were people looking to meet the higher-ups in organized labor and get endorsements, support, and money.

I spoke with the firm today, and a person I am very close with said they expect a Kerry endorsement by 21 of the Gephardt endorsers tonight or tomorrow.

There's your Friday big bang story.... according to the people I know there.

4. Actually, from what I've heard
There were two camps in DC, the Dean camp and the Kerry camp. Keep in mind that Dean garnered a LOT of DC insider endorsements. A lot of people got burned by that speech in Iowa, BUT.... I would expect that Dean will NOT just get thrown to the wolves. I believe the convention will be used as a sort of coming together tool, where all of the candidates are to be used exclusively... and promised high-level spots in an upcoming administration.

5. You're forgetting something
Not much union power in Iowa, but a LOT of union power in Ohio, New York, and California.

Super Tuesday.

And Kerry already got the AFT (National Teachers Union).

It's over, I don't see how any of us beat Kerry without joining into one camp. And no one wants to leave their supported candidate.

So Kerry it is. I can live with it.
