9. Despite them crediting Michael Moore...
...it was the Globe who started it (and Mike credited them for it).

However, they also retracted their initial story. They really need to make up their mind over there. ;)

13. WLS's Don Wade reported on the story this morning
Now he is a big bush backer, says this story simply proves bush was not AWOL end of story.

7. The Globe
I think the good folks in Boston have been following this for a while-- if I remember right, they did some of the initial investigation work on it, way back when.

Hopefully, after McAuliffe reignited things last week, they'll be getting back on it..

8. slightly off topic, but
where are bush's old coke buddies?

there's got to be some folks out there who'd gladly talk about how he'd stick his nose in a pile of blow till he looked like tony montana.

where are the people he used to drink with?

surely, all the people who sold him coke aren't in jail or dead (unless, perhaps, they decided to talk about him.).

when they went after clinton, they dragged out every skank they could find. bush had to have left just as many footprints.

11. One would think
that the BFEE can't get to everyone, but they've done a good job of silencing people so far.

You're right. There's got to be some out there with first-hand knowledge of his youthful indiscretions. Having a few of those come forward would be an October suprise of our own.

18. Remember Paula Jones and how the repugs
dug her up and kept her in the press for years
making Clinton's life miserable?

Where are the people who will keep AWOL's feet
in the fire? Don't' we have any champions?

This was posted in a thread earlier today, Someone I showed it to today suggested it was photo shopped. Heres the link to the thread.

on edit: I posted it on that thread. I found it on a thread in GD about art students displaying this at some university.

12. By November, nobody will care.
The news is breaking too soon. By the time the election rolls around it will be part of the background noise just like his "partying" was last time around. I predict that in the end, it will be the televised debates that decide the winner. If Bush aquits himself well in the debates he'll take it. If he steps in it like his dad did then he's going down.

The only thing this stuff is good for is firing up the troops.

14. I don't think Bush is capable of "aquiting " himself well
it will be the media who will decide like the last time.

They declared Bush the winner over the brilliance of Gore, in spite of stupid, ridiculous statement by Bush.

I watched those debates, and at the time was not this involved in politics--like the average American, I watched the debates--at that time I was also a registered independant. I could not believe my ears when most of the media proclaimed the brilliance of the slow witted, smirking, George Bush over that of Gore. It was simply a wash by the media. In those debates, Bush was truly stupid and i wonder what the reward was for promoting his "brilliance" instead of telling the truth.

It will not be the debates--they will be staged and fixed also. It will take some scandal--that is the only thing that will turn all the supporters against him and the media will have to face it also. My two cents.

16. AWOL is the scandal that will resonate.
Imagine a couple thousand Vets, accompanied by any and/or all of the Democratic candidates, senators, congresscritters (to insure the cops don't start pushing folks around unnecessarily), EVERYBODY'S got photocopies of their military records, signs, buttons and bumper stickers to pass out to spectators, all gather in the closest "free speech zone" to the TV studio where the MTP slobberfest is taped with mock coffins, whistles, bullhorns drums, chanting in unison, "Dubya, Dubya, Dubya, WHERE WERE YOU IN 72?" Oh yeah, and don't forget the sea of flags. Ya think that would pose the question LOUDLY ENOUGH?

Man-o-man, this picture engulfed my brain as I was reading today and I just keep re-posting...

Marianne, my darling, WOIK WIT ME HERE!!! :loveya: This *shit has finally hit the fan and we need a donation from Charmin. So the Amis couldn't react when they UNWILLLINGLY got screwed up the butt financially. (I was SO DUMB thinking the Enron thing would do it way back in the wayback). NOW we're talking about 23,000 AMERICANS getting severely fucked up by lies that sent them to get their limbs blown off and brains blown out on whatever level, by a *guy who cuts services to help them, when HE SAW NO NEED TO EVEN SHOW UP to fulfill his own obligations. E-ticket at Disneyland! Fasten your seatbelts.

19. Being AWOL is important and can
be prosecuted years after the offense.
Of course this is worthy of attention....
most liberals would agree that being AWOL
is proof of very poor character.

It may be the debates that win the election,
but most who voted for AWOL last time were
not aware of his AWOL status....it is time
to enlighten them.
