Rovian Politics has finally over-played its hand
Edited on Thu Feb-05-04 05:42 PM by Homer12
What we are seeing at this moment with the Iraq Intellegance manipulations and selective use of it, is the logical and the most obvious example of what happens when, "Politics trump Policy" while it is married to a "Pre-Emptive war Policy". I'm not even going to get into the PNAC, but it did act as a catalyst.

I'm sure they have a few more Aces in their deck, but a pair of aces does not beat the full house they have dealt to us. I.e. Iraq intellegance manipulation by the OSP, PLame/Niger, Halliburton, Energy Task Force, EPA 9/11 health near ground zero, etc......to mnay to name.....

"Drunk on power GW," asked Rove. "Here Have another," Dick said.

2. Bush is a reckless gambler at heart
Edited on Thu Feb-05-04 05:58 PM by Homer12
Gambling is mostly short term gains, whith a high loss ratio.

Rove uses unsaviory tactics and reckless but very short term and effective tactics when it comes to politics, while inflating Bushco's strength ala the paper tiger analogy.

Thinking in the short term and gambling, using reckless and risky tactics, is the reason WHY they are having so many problems at this time.

This is why their lies and scandals keep piling up.

Sure, they can pull more things out of their hats, let another terrorist attack happen, smear their opponent, but sooner or later people either tune their crap out, or start reacting to their non-stop BS. It's worked for awhile, but I don't think this way of politics and policy is self-sustaining, because it lacks any real structure or organization or philosiphy. In the end, what do they have to show for their actions, what (real) accomplishments that benefit all-of-us instead of a few, what substantive positions have they stuck to, etc......

Bushco is a Paper Tiger that is smoldering at this moment and it's all their fault; or my favorite, a Puffer Fish fully ballooned, out of the water.

4. I think it is amazing that
the really really really big guns are coming out this week. First Tenent then B*sh today and Sunday. Way to big for just Powell or Rice. Love it, this shows just how worried they are, not very Rovarian really, just plain political smarts.

The best thing about these appearances is that Tennant and B*sh will be on record, and everything they say will be watched and tested for reality and lies. Kay already came on MSNBC today to dispute what Tennant had to say and others have been on CNN. As each day goes by more and more of the lies are being uncovered and each time they repeat the lies I think they will be called on it.
