Another salacious SuperBowl controversy, Canadian style (with video)
The TORONTO STAR's "Slinger" reports that a Labatt's Blue Lite beer commercial that aired on Global TV's Canadian Super Bowl broadcast is causing controversy. In the spot, two women are shown in a long, tongue-kiss:

The lip-lock initiates as one of the women says to other, "I love your lip gloss." The other responds, "Well have some."

Slinger: "They go at it. Mouths agape. Bodies writhing. By comparison, it looked as if Madonna and Britney were kissing their sisters. Porn movies traditionally have the participants draw apart slightly to give you a view of the tongue-wrestling. Blue Lite's Hot Babes stayed clamped together, so whether it was pedal-to-the-metal 'French immersion' was left to the imagination."

Meanwhile, the Blue Light ad has also caused a stir among viewers.

Nigel Miller, a spokesman for Labatt Brewing Co. Ltd., said there has been an "overwhelming" amount of response from viewers in the wake of Sunday's airing -- both positive and negative -- which rarely occurs.

"It certainly got noticed," he said, adding that the ad was supposed to air later in the broadcast, but that CanWest Global Communications Corp.'s Global television network showed it too early.
