Olberman had a good one on W's AWOL problem last night,
one that would serve as a good rejoinder to the "but Clinton dodged the draft" crowd even though that was not the specific context.

"Yes, but as we've heard so often these past few years, 911 changed **everything**"

1. Exactly!
Well said!

We will never convince repukes that there's a difference between cheating your way into the National Guard and then skipping out on your sworn duty IN TIME OF WAR and being a Rhodes Scholar (who did, in fact, register for the draft, even though he didn't have to).

2. "Why are you using Clinton as the standard?"
Seriously, folks. How can the Republicans and right wing nuts use Clinton as the standard for acceptable behavior when they told us how bad he is or was (depends on the meaning)? How can they hold up a rapist and murderer as their role model? I don't get it!

3. Better yet, they now give Clinton kudos for his Iraq policy.
There is this moronic winger Doug Kellett on Denver radio. He has been whining lately about how, even though he didn't like Clinton, he would NEVER have thought to criticize his decisions regarding his Iraq policy or doubt his intelligence analysis.

I'm sure this douche-bag was right there with every other right-wing nutcase in the country saying Clinton hit Iraq in 98 to 'wag the dog' about Lewinsky.

4. I'm not sure how you meant your comments but I found them offensive.
President Clinton was none of the things you say he was. Even if you were just repeating what Republicans have said it is still offensive. Your point though is a valid one.
