Bush coming to Harrisburg, PA
next Thursday. Just caught the tail end of our local news. (I'm in Lancaster, PA) no link

I'm thinking of protesting! Gonna check out some local sites and see if anything's cooking.

5. Hi Lancdem!

Yes.....I'm about seven miles outside the city. Glad to know that another DU'er lives with me in The Land That Time Forgot (seems like it sometimes, huh?) Anyway, I don't post a whole lot..............wish I had more time!!

Can't find anything on the Rush visit. Heard a bit on WGAl........something about Bush and Community colleges. I don't think I'll be able to contain myself from protesting his visit if he's this close!!!!

Whoops.........BUSH visit, not RUSH! Freudian slip?

11. Hi Jethrine...I grew up in Q-ville
....lived there for many years...once upon a time long long ago....which direction are you from the city?

WGAL...ahhh, the memories...used to be channel 8 before cable.....

:hi: to all you Lancastrians.

The Land Time Forgot...so true....Amish buggies chewing up the roads...the smell of manure....farmland covered by asphalt...gosh, I'm getting nostalgic...

seriously...I do miss the green-ness of it here in the AZ summers sometimes.....

we had Bush visit in Phx recently..wish he'd take a hint and stay in Crawford!

Peace
DR

6. How's pennsylvania gonna receive him?
I used to live in Reading, if you call that living. Going back to visit my folks is depressing to the maximum. All the factories gone, outlet malls in their place. Homes being built on the farmland I hunted and fished on, no trespassing signs everywhere. How is the booshmeister gonna be treated? any outward signs? My dad hates the bastard, I even got him to e mail his congresspersons about the medicare bill, first time I ever talked politics with him, didn't realize we are on the same side, he just didn't know how the computer works, my sister helped him and my mom file seperate emails. Anyway, I used to eat at Zinns diner way back. Good luck.

8. You got that right.........
Reading our conservative evening newspaper and watching the news is going to be UNBEARABLE during his visit. All of the pols in this almost 100% Repub area are gonna be wearing that fat, pink, bursting look of hubris they get!
