Commander recants AWOL assertions (Hannity) |
|
Anybody else here this?
Hannity had Secy Powell on the phone, and he (Hannity) says (paraphrasing) that the Bush National Guard commander who said Bush hadn't reported "had recanted his part of the story".
I looked, but I'm not seeing it here. I know it's probably Hannity just blowing smoke at our his *ss, but I wanted to check.

I was listening to RWer Steve Malzberg last night, and the first thing he said was that the commander recanted.

4. Oh sure, if the Party-Loyal Right-Wing Sub-Media says it, then it must be |
|
true, eh?
Puh-leeze. These people lie like Nazis.
On the other hand, anyone who ever dared to challenge the Imperial Family has swiftly recanted or faced terrible repercussions, or conveniently wound up dead, so perhaps it is possible.
In either case, hearing the same lie told repeatedly by the Party Sub-Media not only doesn't make it true, but almost certainly guarantees it's at least partially false or a half-truth spun into a bright and shining lie.

We know the commander is at the least a liar. So which story is the truth and which is the lie?

Bush was the kid of a Congressman. Base Commanders tend to get memos on stuff like that.
Like, make sure you don't dress this kid down otherwise you'll NEVER be promoted.

Remember, the woman who filed a rape suit against the president "committed suicide". So perhaps he DOES have a reason to fear being "suicided". Either that or dying in a small plane crash.

...he just added (to his original statement), "I wasn't on the base much, myself," or something to that effect.
Leave it to Insannity to get it wrong... AGAIN!

9. Which commander? What did he say? When did he say it? |
|
Who did he say it to? Why did he say it?
I was just looking for information, I'm not saying that I actually believe it.

18. Again! There is no way |
|
you serve in the military and every moment is not accounted for by somebody. This is insanity. Where are all the guys who served with Bush? They don't remember a guy who became President? And I'd really like to know the logistics of his training. Because if he was "making up the time on the weekends"...was he flying to Alabama on the weekends? On civilian flights? Private planes? What? Can't Bush produce anything, once and for all, to shut down the buzz? I would.
