Did Anybody See Shrub's Appearances Today? He's Cracking!
Wow, it is getting harder and harder for him to follow the scripts, he seems in a total fog...I mean, worse than usual! He seems to have lost a lot of his swagger and his awkward pauses and blinking have really excalated. Kind of like he's fighting off a panic attack.

64. I think....
...he's been cracking from day one. But, somehow, they hold him together enough for him to appear somewhat normal. When they aren't able to do this, and his cracks show...it's not only great to see, but very thread-worthy! One of these days the crack will be so big that all the crazy glue in the world isn't going to keep it together.

I love these "crack up" threads--almost as I love a pretzel dive. I love it when he screws up on television but I hate it when I miss it, like today.

Might have to break my rule about watching cable TV tonight.

8. Oh Right On....Clinton Could Take The Bullets!
They were throwing shit at him since day one just to find something that would stick. I loved how BC would just keep going and all his detractors were resigning over THEIR womanizing!

What was really embarassing was during his 'tribute to Churchill" (actually tribute to himself and Tony Blair!) was that he would sort of be looking like "OK it's time for you to clap at that part" and there would be this pause and then the audience sort of half-heartedly applauding. Yikes! I almost felt sorry for him (ALMOST)

Only a republican owned media. They choose what sticks or slides right on by.

For Democrats, they keep the story alive (whether it's true or not) until it sticks.

For Republicans, they ignore or kill the story until it slides right on by the public.

How do you suppose regular people become "terrorists"?

If some whacked out US terrorist set off a nuclear explosion in Paris, would you think it right to bomb the entire US for ten months to catch the terrorist>

THINK about it. Please just try thinking.

54. Hair, I think. His barber should be trimming that.
I mean, yesterday someone posted a pic of W with a clump of ear-hair sticking out. Yeesh.

But the eyebrow thing--I don't think it's just me as a woman thinking his eyebrows (or his unibrow) need to be tidied up a bit. My grandfather had majorly bushy eyebrows that were actually a more attractive shape than W's, IMO, but he always had his barber clip them like a hedge. My father inherited them and never bothered with the clipping, but then his didn't meet in the middle like W's.

I guess we all know we wouldn't be making such nitpicking personal comments if W wasn't such a schmuck. Clinton got hammered for keeping an airplane waiting at LAX so he could get a special haircut == but W gets to reposition an aircraft carrier for a photo op at some fabulous cost to all of us and it's just swell.

His secrets are all starting to come out:

1) His lies on Iraq and Weapons of Mass Deception

2) The whole in his service record.

His Cocaine problem. The one is directly related to the other.

3) His gross negligence in defending this country against terrorism attack in the months preceeding (and morning of) 9/11.

4) The treasonous outing of Valerie Plame by a "senior administration official".

And behind that TENS OF THOUSANDS OF LIES!!!!! They were woven together into cloth. The cloth is coming unraveled.

There is blood in the water and the sharks are circling. There's just too much blood to keep the sharks from attacking. If they don't someone else WILL!!!! So they all (expect Faux) must dive in.

39. "The whole in his service record"
Almost any person who has proudly served
in the military and later was accused of
being AWOL would act indignant and angry
instead of withdrawn and silent. An innocent
person would be on the phone gathering the
needed records and witnesses to validate
their service attendance. AWOL does none
of this and does not speak for himself.

AWOL is guilty of being AWOL and then
shamelessly sending our troops to their
deaths in an unnecessary war.

AWOL has a very flawed character.

21. Funny you should mention that. You should read this:
-snip-
Republican Alice "Rubberstamp" Kerr started her campaign for the KY6 special election as a Bush loyalist. The candidate has no independent bone in her, having voted with her leadership in the KY Senate 98.6 percent of the time, so the characterization was good. She could be counted on to stick by Bush lockstep, through thick or thin, irrelevant of what was best for her district and/or country.

But then the polls showed her numbers dropping, despite running in a GOP-majority district. So she was then forced to distance herself from Bush. Bush himself cancelled campaign appearances on her behalf. The "popular" president was suddenly radioactive in solid red territory.

This distancing will reach its absurd conclusion when Cheney holds a fundraiser for Kerr on Saturday, February 7th.

In Illinois.

it's a long time until November. The corporate media took down the "unstoppable" Dean with one clip from a rally. Today I was in line at the grocery, and already the stories of Kerry's "multiple affairs with celebrities" "plastic surgeries" and "drug and alcohol abuse" are popping up in the tabloids. No matter how much of a knuckle dragging mouth breather the Chimp is, we'll still have a very rough road ahead of us.

46. Last poll has Ben Chandler with a 10 point lead
This Saturday, Ben Chandler will be at the Teamster's hall for a rally. I am going. I placed signs for him after the NALC meeting Tuesday.

We had a speaker from the VFW speaking. His hatred for Bush was quite evident. Usually we try to be bi partisan at the union meetings, but there was nothing that could keep us from showing our disgust for bush and Kerr. That's Kerr, pronounced Kur.

If Kerr loses, it will also be a big blow to Mitch the bitch McConnell. He has groomed her, and financially supported her.

I will be working the polls on the 17th for the special election. It should be weird because the Ky supreme court has ruled that the 500 ft electioneering buffer is unconstitutional. They can electioneer right up to the door of the polls. We are hoping the legislature fixes the law, making it pass constitutional muster.

31. I am beginning to think the entire family drinks themself into oblivion
night after night. That includes the ugly wrinkled bitch, Babs,, and George the first, as well as the progeny who are protected (fromt their parents? LOL) as well as Laura.

I think they all drink and cannot wait to get back to their "ranch" in the Texas, dry gulch, scrub brush, the old pig farm, the Prarie Chapel (ridiculous name) because they got everything they needed out of this farce called an election and a presidency. They shot their load and do not really care what happens afterwards. They really do not care if they are ousted and that is my two cents. Bush is not really concerned about what goes down in history. If he was, he would be more concerned about his policies and even more concerned about the environment. He is only concerned about himself and his riches. Period.

I think Laura , in her exquisite dumassed proclivities, cannot wait to get back to lounging, smoking and reading cheap novels at poolside, and George cannot wait to get back to drinking every day, beginning with bloody Mary's at breakfast, without anyone monitoring him. They got their fortune wrapped up in three short years due to waging two wars and many lives dead in order to cash in eventually to the profits of his buddy war profiteers. He can rejoice that once again, he invested and came out with more than he invested, and is glad to take off with it and not be questioned.

That is all that matters to them--both-- as well as their two spoiled , spendthrift brats. They will retire and will not be concerned that the Bush name has been forever banished from politics, given that the historiens do record these four years accurately.

and if you think w is bad watch Condi Rice the next time you can. Hell she is blinking like 90 everytime she talks. Probably a nice cool breeze off of it. Also watch Condi's head movements. When she makes a positive statement that she knows is a lie she shakes her head back and forth as if saying 'no' !

It is truly amazing to watch her head and eye movements closely. I don't see how she lives with herself.

49. Blinking indicates discomfort
Rapid blinking subcommunicates that you want to remove yourself from the situation. It's a defensive, shielding gesture, sort of like folding your arms in front of you.

If rapid blinking is combined with a person touching his nose and doing nervous gestures with his hands and fingers, he's almost definitely lying (assuming he's not a pathological liar who can't distinguish truth from lies).

50. Welcome to DU, PeaceForever!
We have a lot of these threads, trying to analyze physical tics.

You sound like you know what you're talking about. Glad to have you here.

41. I watched this little crapfest live...
and bush was just plain lousy.

He looked like he was crapping his pants, his hair was mussed up, he looked like a kid that had been caught stealing condoms at the drug store. He could barely look up from the script, and he had and audible shaking in his voice.

He knows he is just plain out of luck. No cheering crowds, no bussed in clodhoppers to applaud his lines...nothing but a quivering voice and fear. If the audio is fine tuned, you might hear his knees knocking and a distintive sqeak, as his asshole tightens.

O8)

42. his pauses didn't even make sense
He would read a certain number of syllables, and then stop and then read another number of syllables. Most often, he read with no inflection or inflection at the wrong points. It was horrific. And when he finished he tucked tail and boogied out, while reporters hollered questions after him.

57. 2 hairpieces, do you mean? or 2 different doubles?
I suppose, given enough money, it would be possible to replicate Bush's appearance more than once. Just in case the guy who's supposed to take over for him at stressful press conferences was feeling poorly.

who thought he looked like he'd been sleeping in that suit. It was on the tv news here in Australia. No comment was made about his appearance but it was obvious he looked bloody terrible.

65. Here's a new on from yesterday

He looks like he's about to fall over? His condition is really starting to get scary. I hate to see what he would do if he goes off on a drunken rage. The SS better make sure they keep the football away from him, that's all I can say.

68. Haven't seen any of his appearances today, but....

the clip on Letterman last night was just pathetic. He stuttered, and couldn't keep his train of thought. He seems very tired or distracted.

72. Bush was heinous.
Bush was a zombie. Wait until he is tried for treason, for allowing the 9-11 terrorist attacks! He'll crumble when he's incarcerated at Guantanamo Bay.

Cheers,
