Just get over it already... We lose - it's over.... |
|
Come on... God already spoke with Pat Robertson on the issue:
"The Lord has just blessed him," Robertson said of Bush. "I mean, he could make terrible mistakes and come out of it. It doesn't make any difference what he does, good or bad, God picks him up because he's a man of prayer and God's blessing him."
And, as far as I know, God hasn't come out with any updated memos on the subject... So, all of the banter on these boards is nice, but it isn't going to get us anywhere.
Now I guess all we can do is plan for the inevitable. sigh.

And it is not man's (or in this case Pat Robertson) place to assume the workings of God but only to follow his words.
Pat saying that God spoke to him sounds insidiously like something the Devil/Satan would do as a trick on man to displease God.
And if God did speak to Pat and Bush loses what the heck does that say about his God, Satan or Pat's need to have his hearing checked?

4. Robertson made the proclaimation weeks ago when Dean was #1. |
|
Last week, Pat backed up a little in an interview with Wolf Blitzer.
Pat conceeded that, while God is never wrong, he (Pat) is not infallible in his receptions of God's messages.
It's important to note that Robertson only changed his tune after Kerry became the clear frontrunner.

5. Yeah, yeah. I know. Bush is unstoppable. |

But you're not going to talk me out of my quadrennial exercise in masochism wherein I get myself all wrought up trying to get a liberal into office.

6. Now that you mention it ... |
|
... maybe some more triangulation would help the Democrats pick up a few votes from Pat Robertson supporters.
Hey, it's not a move to the left, so it must be worthwhile, right?

Somehow I have to believe that God wouldn't approve of * selling all of our clean air and water to business who can buy the right to pollute it. As RFK Jr. pointed out in his Rolling Stone commentary, 28 out of 50 states now prohibit you from eating fish that you catch in their waters.
Yes I'm sure God wants to keep that up.
