U.S. Chamber of Commerce mailing ads in special election
This is outrageous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today, I got a brochure in the mail from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce attacking Democrat Ben Chandler, who is running in the special election to fill repug Fletcher's seat in the house. In the add it claims that the budget for his office increased 54% over a 9 year period and that he failed to collect $200 million for Medicaid and other programs.

And of course, it encouraged people to call his political office and tell him to "stop wasting our tax dollars and start protecting Kentucky Families". (Of course, he ain't in office now so how can he do that?)

I was so outraged by this that I did call Chandlers office to complain about our tax $$ being used for this kind of ad. Of course, I then found out that the Chamber of Commerce is not a federal agency, so tax dollars was not used ... but still this is an outrage. They had already received numerous calls from citizens about this .. ALL against the ad!

Hopes this backfires on them

1. C of C is SCUM
Nothing but a corporate right wing propaganda machine.

"The Chamber donates a substantial portion of its current $70 million budget to politicians. The Chamber's political action committee (PAC) donated more than $10 million to federal candidates in 1997-98, 90 percent of it to Republicans, and spent another $17 million on lobbying in 1998."
