Comparing Bush approval ratings to previous presidents |
|
Just a few weeks ago, Bush's numbers were 53% and it was said - don't remember by whom - that no president with these numbers at this stage of the game lost reelection.
I glanced at a text window on CNN Capital Gang and it said that now his approval is 40% (40?) - the same as papa at that stage of the game, adding, of course, that he lost to Clinton.
If nothing else, it would be nice to send Junior to pasture, to end the "Bush Dynasty" once and for all.

... "stay out the Bushes"
I wonder what will happen to Fox and the other Bush propaganda outfits if he loses? Will they start running Jeb? Or will they look for another boy-king?

6. A movie review by Ebert and Roper "Eileen" |
|
About Eileen Wuronow (sp?) the serial killer who was executed by Jeb. And at some point Roger Ebert comment was about how Jeb was running for the execution.
He added that she was clearly insane, was raped at 9, slept in the woods of Michigan at 11 and 12, and was expected to be "beamed" a-la star trek after her execution.

3. I wonder if Jeb would be as bad as GW? Jeb does not have the same...... |
|
religious views as GW, and I think that has a lot to do with GW's perception of things.

I don't think Jeb has Dubya's messianic complex, but he's still a Bush, and that makes him dangerous.

Hey didn't I read you earlier in the day on some kind of anti-Kerry rant? And now you're wondering if Jeb might not be so bad?
If I were of a suspicious nature, I might start wondeirng about the motivations of some of the anti-Kerry forces here.
Please forgive me if I've misconstrued either of your posts.

11. Jeb is religious and has all the fundies in Florida foaming at the mouth |
|
Edited on Sat Feb-07-04 10:05 PM by morningglory
all the time about how he is such a good christian. Also, he was wrecking Florida during the Clinton good years just like *W was wrecking Texas. Tax cuts to the wealthy, corporate shenanigans, thievery all over the place. In addition he has all the local politicians who have been lifelong Democrats changing their affiliation to Republican, saying they prayed about it and want to serve the people the best way they can. It is just sickening. (Edited to add that where *WhistleAss is 60% retarded halfwit and 40 percent evil, Jeb is 90% evil and 10% smooth-talking dull normal)

7. Actually, I think his approval is 49 percent in CNN's poll |
|
I'm not aware of one that has him at 40 percent (I wish!).
