Never trust polls, they're basically polling 15 people in a supermarket who won't be voting anyways.
The only thing thse polls serve to do is sway the opinions of those who WILL be voting with sort of a peer-pressure tactic...

5. Needs a representative sample |
|
It would be accurate if they pick a truly random and representative sample to poll. It would be interesting to see how they pick the people to ask.
As you say though, it can sway how people vote. It shows them that it's OK to not trust bush because other people do and they won't be ostracized.

10. yes, its not only possible, but probable |
|
check out the ratings of american idol, survivor, fear factor, etc for evidence
check out the closeness of the 2000 election, lets not forget, bush did almost win
check out the ratings of AM hate radio
check out the popularity of SUVs, country 'music', religion, MTV, clay aiken
check out the uproar caused by one superbowl tit
I'd be surprised if the % wasn't much higher than 42%

|
His approval rating is 54 percent, disapproval is 42 percent. Editor at www.pollingreport.com confirmed that.
