Pentagon spends $1 million training bush to fly
did they get what they paid for.

He had told reporters how important it was to follow in his father's footsteps and to become a fighter pilot. Yet in April 1972, George W. Bush climbed out of a military cockpit for the last time.

2. I'm trying to find if the F-102A seats two pilots
If it does then it might be very well that he never flew the aircraft in his whole life.

3. One seat

They talk of an F-102 trainer with side-by-side seating. Planes with two seats don't come in a "trainer version"--they just use the real airplane.

Edit to add: http://afmuseum.com/aircraft/f102a.html, where it says "Crew: one."

5. If that is the case then I'll have to fall back to my original idea
He "pencil whipped" all of his flight time past using the trainer.

6. The
102 and 106 were very similar aircraft, single seat delta wing inceptor fighters. Most outfits that flew them had at least one two seat version used for check flights. The crew is not side by side, I spent several years in a 106 outfit in Mi., during my 23 year career.

4. isn't it ironic
that kerry can find guys he served with 35 years ago to stand up with him, going on about what a great president he'd be. they travel around the country with him, supporting him.

but not one single, solitary person appears to have raised his hand and said, "uh, yeah. i served with bush in alabama."

8. His father wasn't a fighter pilot!
He flew the Grumman TBF "Avenger" torpedo bomber.

Leaving out rumors and inneundos...

I give more credit for Bush Sr. (The Greater) for being a pilot who risked his life in wartime than I do Bush Jr. (The Lesser) who got into a comfy guard unit and then went AWOL.
