"Hey Baby, Wake UP"..
Pssst!.. Pssst!
Yes, I am talkin' to YOU !!

If you are a young person who does not think your vote matters... Or if you think it's a pain in the *** to get up early or rush home to vote, you are screwing YOURSELF..

The powers that be would like nothing better than for you to sit on the sidelines on election day. It's in THEIR best interests if you just grumble and rant about how NOBODY listens to you or cares about what you need or want..

Every 2 years we tell our congresspeople and some of our senators what we want, by voting them in or out. Every 4 years we do it again, only this time we get to decide on whether or not to fire the president.

How's your life been for the last few years??

Can you afford to live on your own ?? Without help from Mom & Dad??
Do you have a job you like?
Are you getting raises??
Do you have health care?
Anybody you know getting laid off?
Are you able to attend college or training easily?
Can you afford college?
How are you going to pay back those tens of thousands of dollars you borrowed for school?
Do you like paying 7 years for a car that's not worth shit for the last 4 years you pay on it?
Do you like to pay those high insurance premiums??
Does it matter to you if our leaders attack other countries with phony excuses?
Would you be willing to die, so that some rich guys can buy bigger houses and fur coats for their mistresses?
If you are under ... say 26... you may be getting an "all expenses paid" trip to the middle east, compliments of Uncle Sam.. Are you packed??
Are you prepared to pay $200,000 for a "fixer-upper" house?
Have you ever done the math for raising a family on $10.00 an hour?
Do you like to breathe "chunky air"??
Do you like to pay almost $2.00 a gallon for gas?

The powers that be, are hoping that you are more interested in American Idol, and Friends, and MTV, and Nascar racing, and football, and Survivor, or hanging out with your friends. They like to pass laws that regulate what you can and cannot do, and when you don't even bother to vote, they "know" it's cool with you.. If you think they are "not the boss of you", you are WRONG.
They get to decide (for you) if getting caught with a joint gets you jail time and a felony on your record, or a slap on the wrist and community service..
They get to decide whether or not the colleges have any money to loan out to students..
They get to decide whether there will be any money to loan to first time home buyers.. and how much interest to charge you.
They get to determine how much interest you will pay on your car loan..
They get to decide whether they can track your keystrokes when you go online.
They get to decide whether or not they can "listen in " on your cell phone calls.
They get to decide whether you get called to war.
They get to decide whether or not your job goes to India (without you)
They get to decide what you see on TV, the internet, and at the movies
They even get to decide whether or not you can marry (in some cases).

You have a right (and an obligation) to vote, once you turn 18.

If you DON'T do your part, don't sit on your *** and bitch because "life is hard"..and "no one will give you a break"...

Read .....investigate.....learn.....and then VOTE as if your life depended on it....... It DOES !!!

1. They get to decide whether
they can track my keystrokes when I go online and ask:
"Who the heck are they"....generally, specifically ethnically or geographically?" Tell me, maybe the Govenator can help getting rid of them. "They" skinks

3. Of course I see your point...
but the fact that the primaries have driven such a low turnout is a disgrace...the product of propaganda.

4. "They may skink", but they are the ones who do our bidding
and if we don't pick them, someone else does :)

Kids often think they cannot make a difference, but they CAN.. A generation ago they helped to end a war, they helped to end racial discrimination, and they changed marketing/advertising just by existing..

The "they" is always the entity that you do not know.. If you are not part of "them", you are forever on the outside looking in :)

2. True. I went to the WA caucus yesterday...
There were only 23 of us from my precinct. I was able to INDIVIDUALLY get Kucinich 1 delegate by convincing 2 others (along with 1 who was already with me). I can't tell you how good it made me feel.

You and a couple friends can take over your precinct.
