When I was in the AF, I often helped out typing up documents (wasn't my job but nobody else could type worth a shit) and I've seen a lot of DD214s...there are "General" discharges as well as Honorable and Dishonorable - but the word "general" doesn't appear on the document,
it is worded "Under Honorable Conditions".

They are issued to people who have had disciplinary actions not serious enough to warrant a DD.

hmmm

You're saying "Under Honorable Conditions" is not the same as an Honorable Discharge?

2. The only thing that has been seen...
is the torn piece of paper with no name and a blacked out SS# which they claim as Bush's record.

Somehow, all his records have disappeared. He could release his 1040's to prove he got a paycheck but he won't do that because it is incriminating.

6. Plenty of docs here.
I keep posting this, but apparently not enough folks know about this yet. Marty Heldt has obtained quite a few of Bush's docs via the Freedom Of Information Act. Check it out.

Scanned docs here.

Here's the main page to his site ...

... with links to a couple of articles, including this one, which has each allegation linked to a supporting doc.

Finally, The Truth About Bush's Military Record

Worth a read ... Marty has been working on this a long time. We could still stand to see those pay stubs, though.

8. Look at these two documents.
Sorry you have to cut and paste the links. Apparently you
can't post a link to an image w/o the image appearing in the
post. DANG! That's aggravating.

Anyhow ...

Penalty for bad attendance.

"I understand that I may be ordered to active duty for a
period not to exceed 24 months for unsatisfactory
participation as presently defined in Chapter 41, AFM 35-3.
Further I understand that if I am unable to participate in the
ANG, and have an unfulfilled military service obligation, that
I may be [strong]discharged from the state ANG and assigned to
the Obligated Reserve Section (ORS), AF Reserve, Denver,
Colorado,[/strong] and subject to active duty for a period not
to exceed a total of 24 months, considering all previous
active duty and active duty for training tours."

Signed, GW Bush

Then ...

4. I doubt if they would have given the son of the
Republican National Committee Chairman anything but an honorable discharge, no matter what he had done. They cleaned him up real good.

5. Good point on the DD-214
The documents that have been put on the Internet to prove he was AWOL, show that he had an honorable discharge and not any other category (general under honorable circumstances, OTH, dishonorable or BCD). The first two in the parentheses are for those who screwed up but did not rise to the level of administrative action, the send two are called punitive discharges and are reserved for those who went to a court-martial. He would not have gotten an honorable discharge if he had been subject to military discipline. There are plenty of reasons to tear him apart, I think this is a bad one to attack IMHO.

9. Think his father may have had something to do with his
"honorable" discharge? And this is the perfect reason to tear him apart - he sees no problem with sending others to war when he couldn't be bothered to even show up for his champagne unit. He landed on that carrier in that ludicrous flight suit. He said he's been to war and he's raised twins, and he'd rather go to war.

Thanks for YHO, but Mr. War President is getting his ass handed to him over this, and not one minute too soon. I hope this continues to build and build until he is forced to admit, in shame, that he was in fact AWOL while others were dying.

Calpundit: Bush sent to disciplinary unit to make up AWOL time...

You know the mysterious torn document? It's torn no longer. And it ain't a Texas Air National Guard document:
