Will the draft news start to hit the mainstream media? |
|
With all of the AWOl material, it seems inevitable that more shit is going to hit the fan. More news has been seeing the light of day in the last month than some of us could have hoped for. If more definitive evidence of Bush reinstating the draft in 2005 hits the news before November, say it with me:

This is something I wouldn't go overboard about. One could make the argument that we're facing a "war" on terror and draft boards are a prudent measure "just in case" ;-)
This issue really affects 19-24 year olds more than any. Any exposure of this issue needs to be VERY focused towards this group. We can count on college liberals to bash the "Young Republicans" on this. MTV would be a nice outlet for MoveOn to push some adds on this issue.
If we can energize those first time voters, we can get a LOT of votes out of them. Even from those college kids who "think" they should be Republicans because they "think" they will get high paying jobs when leaving. Though, the folks in IT and EE are in for an incredible shock.
