I hope they do try and make an issue out of it. I don't think that most Americans care about that issue nearly as much as the fundies do, it will only go to show how far out of step Bush is is.

7. It's all they've got, and it'll make them look like fools. |
|
They'll be shouting about gay marriages while our soldiers are dying for an immoral invasion. People may be apathetic, but they aren't blind. Most see this for the wedge issue it is.

Repuks must have done it in. Other polls are the opposite. Can you imagine not giving other citizens the same rights to marry that Britney Spears has???

"Would you favor or oppose a constitutional amendment that would ban gay marriage in all states?"
The Newsweek Magazine answers add up to 174%. WTF?

How can these people approve of unions and not marriages? If civil unions are established, it will take a single "separate but equal" case in federal court to bring about federally sanctioned same sex marriages. Do they realize this?
Addition on edit: I just noticed the discrepancy between these data and the newsweek poll. This is a DU vs. freeperland fight we have on our hands!

And they have had plenty of time to correct it. I think they want to obscure the true data without being called liars. I wonder what the numbers really are?
